To preface this I scheduled a Sears Home Service appointment with what my receipt says "Citrus Heights, CA" which I assume is where the tech I had out came from. This was my experience with it. I had a tech come out to look at my dryer. That's exactly what he did...look at it. He touched nothing, he asked no questions. He literally said "I've been doing this so long I can tell just by looking." That seems akin to an auto mechanic looking at a car from the outside...not popping the hood or touching a thing...just saying he can tell what the problem is by doing nothing but looking. Then he said it would be over $600 to fix the dryer..when I could by a NEW dryer for less. How he could even know issue when he spend about 7 minutes here (most of it outside). I paid $89.00 for literally nothing. I do not feel as though I got my moneys worth and I feel genuinely ripped off. The other kicker for me is this was the second time a tech was supposed to come out. The prior time Nov 16th, nobody showed up or called. I called to let them know nobody came and without consulting me to see what works with my schedule they automatically rescheduled it for me making me have to call out of work for a second time. I was expecting a diagnosis but didn't get one. I understand paying a service fee but I don't even feel like I received service. I kept waiting for him to touch something, ask me a question...he did none of those thing and spent very little time here. All he did was show up and nothing else. If that is your guys' idea of good service I think that really stinks. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. I can provide dates, times, and order numbers if need be.
